Unrealized Dreams

As I've grown older, many of the goals and dreams I had as a young man have wilted and perished on the vine of numerous missed opportunities. I'm still haunted by those regrettable moments when time seemed to fly by. The worn, weathered lines on my tired, elderly face serve as frequent reminders of the struggles I have endured. When I was younger, I thought I knew everything, but those assumptions were frequently proven to be false. I didn't really appreciate my father's true intelligence until I was in my mid-life.

Someone once remarked that the true measure of a person's life is not how many breaths they take, but rather how many breath-taking moments they experience. Although I have experienced those moments when my breath was snatched away, I suppose I have been fortunate. Those priceless experiences are still vivid in our minds as we cherish our recollections. I have survived a great deal of life's storms along the way, and they have made me acutely aware of how frail life is. Because everything could end in the blink of an eye. The greatest gift that everybody and everyone should have is the ability to view the world through so many various lenses. Because without such information.
Today, avarice and the insensitivity of so many others govern a large portion of the world. Although there is a lot of humanity and humility, it is always in the context of millions of people intentionally suffering throughout the world. Some have noted that while certain leaders may believe they are doing justly, their actions merely serve to highlight the many injustices that have taken place. History has frequently documented notorious leaders whose deeds ultimately brought about their downfall. And in every case, it has been the general populace who has suffered.

The leaders we have picked have so far protected the United States from the terrible repercussions of a depraved leader. Unfortunately, our elected officials' dishonest actions throughout the years have managed to steer the nation away from the basic idea of our original founding. I get angry when I notice how depressing the world is because so little is being done to lessen the suffering caused by others' suffering in life. The millions of poor people who continue to languish in hopeless misery in their ambition to dominate.

The globe is following the upcoming presidential election in the United States. The stakes are at an all-time high. Will America's decline into oblivion continue, or will a brand-new day emerge to save the country from its bleak future? We have ignored the warning indicators that could have prevented the worst collapse of a democratic republic for far too long. Many believe that the cards are already loaded against them. The American people have been duped into accepting the existing quo that has brought the country to where it is today for many years.

We must educate ourselves again on the genuine travesties committed against the American public that are still intentionally left out of our schooling if we are to address the inequities that continue to corrupt our political system and our government. We can only make amends for the wrongs of the past that still taint the present if we learn what exactly happened to send this nation on the path to obscurity.
