During the Second Age, the trolls of the Ettenmoors were under a darker power that controlled them. They were thought to be strong and durable. Trolls were also known to become stone in the sunlight, and some trolls were also described as speaking.  In The Lord of the Rings trilogy, the Olog-hai were trolls created by Sauron. They were powerful and dangerous, and wore partial plate armor. They were also used by Sauron in the Battle of the Black Gate and the Siege of Gondor.  The Guldur Olog-hai were large, colossal trolls, standing between 25 and 30 feet tall. They were armed with cruel weapons, such as swords and mace. They were also capable of enduring the sunlight under Sauron's sway. They were also used by the Orcs in the Battle of Pelennor Fields.  The trolls in the first installment of the series, The Hobbit, spoke with thick Cockney accents. Most trolls were weaker than humans, but some were very powerful. They also had huge noses and tusks. They were also described as being about nine feet tall. Some were even described as being as wide as Men. They were slow, but they could take a lot of damage before dying.  Trolls are also seen in the video game The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King. In the video game, they are used in controllable units, and are seen as melee fighters. They are also seen as operators of the battering ram Grond.
